We continue to enjoy having Pop & Granny around. Louise has already figured out that Granny cooks better than Mummy - she was disturbed to see Mummy in the kitchen this evening.

Sweetie pie
"Claire is a sweetie pie," Louise exclaimed this evening, giving her sister a hug. Claire has an ear infection, but she tolerated big sisterly love quite well. She is probably the first and last of the clan to learn how to go down stairs safely, baby-style (backwards, carefully, one step at a time).

Poppopsalooza!
We've been a little busy lately! We moved on 21 May, Pop & Granny arrived for their month-long visit on 26 May, and Pops & Mary visited on 29 and 30 May.
This weekend, we ate lots of ice cream, and Charlotte took her first trip to Charlotte, NC (IKEA). Throughout the weekend, Louise was full of wisdom:
"What makes a place a city?" we asked her. "It have a Food Lion," she replied solemnly. Too bad for you, London, Paris, New York, Berlin, and Singapore!
On Monday at dinner, Daddy had to make a quick trip to the car to find something. "Would you please come here and help Mommy?" we asked, hoping to let him make the trip on his own. "I lost my help," Louise said seriously.
On the journey back from IKEA, Louise summarized the day: "I was a good girl, and Claire was a good girl - on the whole."

Delightful girls
"Louise was delightful," Mummy told Daddy after she & Louise returned from the grocery store. "What's 'lightful?" asked Louise. "I'm light?"
It was a wonderful weekend. On Friday night, everyone slept (until 5am!). Louise was in a good mood much of the time, saying "oh MAN" or "not okay" when frustrated, rather than screaming. Charlotte has attempted to walk at least twice this weekend. She fell immediately both times, but she was adorable whilst doing it.
We've included one of Louise's artistic efforts with the camera.

Mother's Day
The girls were very good to Mommy on Sunday. Charlotte & Claire made cards, and Louise made a birdhouse. The girls & Daddy also worked with friends Harry & David to make cookies for Mommy. Daddy's friend Diane and her husband & baby also came over on Sunday.
Louise is a little girl who should have a curl in the middle of her forehead. Today she was very very good. She played nicely with her sisters and was full of wit and wisdom.

Louise the Entrepreneur
Louise set up a "dentical" school in the pack-n-play on Saturday (a mix of dental and medical, from what we could gather). "Claire, you work for me," she informed her sister. Louise was also busy asking Mommy and Daddy what their favourite ice cream was and then serving it to them. Next door to the school, of course, was a recycling centre where Louise would take the recycler's picture and give him a piece of candy. "We need to recycle all this," Louise said, gesturing to Daddy's computer and box of papers.
Louise also had her haircut this weekend. She agreed to keep her hair bow in for at least 2 hours!
Louise continued to use her balance bike and was so confident that she wanted to do a one legged balance which she called "the chicken".
