New pictures

It has been a good week. Charlotte & Claire are slowly getting over their colds. Mummy's Aunt Margaret generously sent a gift of beanie babies - Louise was delighted by the bounty! She particularly likes the lizard. Now we're all looking forward to the weekend - no special plans, although someone from Duke will be coming to the house on Saturday morning to evaluate Louise's mental state as part of a pre-schooler study.

4 month visit

Charlotte and Claire were measured, poked, and prodded today. They've both grown well - Charlotte is 11 lbs, 8.5 oz, and 23 inches long; Claire is 13 lbs, 0.5 oz, and 22.5 inches long. The paediatrician was happy with their growth and progress.

Last week, we had a special treat - Angela and Eric visited our house during their move from Florida to New York. Their baby is due in November, but they're clearly ready to be great parents now. Claire & Charlotte enjoyed chatting with them. Louise was a bit intimidated by their cat. For days after their visit, Louise kept saying "Angela Eric New York! New cat?"

Potty monster

We have all had a good couple of weeks. Charlotte and Claire are now sleeping up to 6 hours at a time, although still inconsistent at times. They both caught a cold from Louise last week so that interrupted their sleep a little. Katie, her parents and Jennifer from daycare all came to visit last weekend and we had a great time watching two toddlers run around and play with the twins. Posted below are a collection of photos and video from the past 2 weeks.

Today we started full potty training for Louise after she became very interested in "pull ups". We have created a monster! She loves them and using the big kids potty on the toilet. She loves flushing the toilet and pulling her new diapers up and down even when she doesn't need to go! She is just fascinated by all things potty at the moment.

Happy Independence day - a watery theme!

We all enjoyed our long holiday weekend. On Friday Louise and Daddy went to the NC beach (Surf City) to see friends. Louise really enjoyed spending hours playing in the sand and racing with the waves! Charlotte, Claire, and Mummy stayed in Hillsborough (because food is more important than sun-n-fun to all three!) and enjoyed spending time with Dylan and Devon whilst their mummy went to work. Yesterday Katie and her parents came over for a few hours and both girls enjoyed playing in the pool.
