Festivals!

It was a weekend of festivals.  Mummy went out with her friend Kate, though Charlotte did ask, "What's the point of a wine festival?  You could just buy wine at the store."  Charlotte and her sisters had a fantastic time at the Schwenksville spring festival, which featured many activities unavailable in stores:

Charlotte enjoyed a date with Daddy to another festival, the Lego Brickfest:

Charlotte builds her own creation:

Some Star Wars characters are along for the fun:

Louise very much enjoyed "bring your child to work day."  She was able to experience Life in the Cube, isolate DNA, and, best of all, learn about security and use security cameras to observe the cafeteria.

Charlotte and Louise enjoyed their time on stage at the Evergreen Elementary Variety Show, where Charlotte danced to "Footloose" and Louise lit up the stage in a medley of "Dancing Fireflies" and "Shut Up and Dance."

In other news, Charlotte and Claire decided to "dress like twins" last week:

Football, and other signs of Spring

Claire kicked off football season with her first game on Saturday.  Go Golden Panthers!  The following day, she went with Daddy to Philadelphia for some MLS action.  Go on the U!

Also this month, we enjoyed Easter egg decorating, crafts, and good hunting at home and at a local church:

We've also (Charlotte in particular) been busy in the garden:

and exploring the creek:

Happy birthday, Charlotte and Claire!

Charlotte and Claire are six!  They celebrated with a very busy weekend.  Friday kicked off the party with a hat from Claire's teacher:

The morning of the birthday began with handmade gifts from big sister:

The girls then made short work of an enormous pile of presents:

The girls' friend Zelia had a party at Limerick Bowling:

After a quick wardrobe change, it was on to the main event:

Charlotte's friends clearly know her well - princess gloves, handbag, sunglasses, and bow and arrows:

Fun continued today, first with a trip to the movie theatre to see Home, and then to their friend Nicky's party at a bounce house.

Whew.  Probably best for Mummy and Daddy that birthdays only come twice a year for the three girls.

Kiss age 7 goodbye

Louise had a great time at her birthday party.  She celebrated with her friends Mariana and Rayna:

decorated cupcakes:

danced with her sisters:

and painted a stuffed cat, whom she named Poseidon (or "P-God" for short, to fit on the nametag):

Louise and Charlotte are enjoying Variety Show rehearsals.  Louise demonstrates part of the dance in the video below.  She disapproves, however, of one song's use of forbidden language ("Shut Up and Dance With Me.")
